The El Dorado Motel on South Virginia Street has reopened with a modern touch and new amenities.
Sitting just south of downtown Reno, the El Dorado Motel was once a motel for families who wanted to enjoy Reno without being in the midst of the casino life.
As time went on, the motel changed multiple owners, and Kramer’s Midtown says the motel was an eyesore, and on its way to being forgotten. But in 2019, Kramer Properties purchased the site, and Kramer’s Midtown revitalized the motel. Now the El Dorado Motel is accepting guests.
The historic motel was built in 1949, with Spanish Colonial features and located within walking distance of the casinos. The motel now features a contemporary touch, with a 24-hour clubhouse and a neon-lit patio. Guests can enjoy rooms with kitchenettes, min-fridges, sofa-beds, and complimentary WiFi.
The El Dorado Motel is located at 1607 South Virginia Street.
